Conflict Minerals Policy
Conflict-free Minerals Policy
Minerals from conflict or high-risk areas, such as 3TG (tantalum Ta, tin Sn, tungsten W, gold Au), cobalt Co, and mica Mica, through smuggling, controlled by non-governmental armed groups or illegal military factions, are considered conflict minerals. Fuzhou NEWSANDGY OPTRONICS INC. requires suppliers to comply with the Responsible Business Alliance Code of Conduct (RBA), and only purchases materials from environmentally and socially responsible suppliers. All suppliers cannot purchase and use conflict minerals, meet conflict-free mineral requirements, and purchase from the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) confirmed Responsible Minerals Assurance Process (RMAP) certified smelter and refiner list (http://www.responsiblemineralsinitiative.org/). All suppliers should purchase metals from smelters and refiners that have been RMAP certified to meet conflict-free metal requirements. Smelters and refiners that have not been RMAP certified must be removed from the supply chain.
Supplier Requirements
If conflict minerals are used to provide products to Fuzhou NEWSANDGY OPTRONICS INC., please inform us immediately and adopt alternative solutions, and implement relevant rectification measures according to our requirements. After the rectification is confirmed, we can continue to supply to ensure full compliance with conflict-free requirements. Relevant product materials involving conflict minerals will be treated as non-conforming products.
Requires suppliers to conduct commercially reasonable due diligence annually on their supply chains to ensure that the metals used in the products supplied to Fuzhou NEWSANDGY OPTRONICS INC. do not originate from conflict minerals. Changes in supplier or supply chain conflict mineral smelter and refiner information (including additions or removals), as major change management, should also be reported immediately to Fuzhou NEWSANDGY OPTRONICS INC. using the RMI conflict mineral reporting template or other reports that meet the IPC-1755 conflict mineral data exchange standard requirements.
Suppliers, mineral processors, mining companies, or original mines in the supply chain need to formulate relevant policies and management procedures for conflict minerals in accordance with the requirements of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development and this standard.
